Crianlarich

Crianlarich Cottage is a charming holiday rental home in Fort Augustus, one of the prettiest villages in Scotland and a perfect place to spend your holiday.  The village sits on the southern tip of Loch Ness surrounded by the majestic mountains that give the Highlands its name.

The accommodation comprises double bedroom (en suite) and two twin bedded rooms, a family bathroom, a large comfortable living room with cd player, Freeview tv, DVD player, and video tape player/recorder. We have recently added freeWi-Fi. There is a spacious dining area. Customers can choose to use the open coal fire or electric radiator.  There are all-night storage heaters to keep the chill away should the Scottish weather necessitate it!  In the large kitchen there is a fridge, freezer, breakfast area, washing machine, tumble dryer, cooker and microwave.  There is parking for up to three cars if needed, a lockable shed with a covered area for motorcycles and bicycles, and a ramp for disabled access.

To keep your interest there are miles of walks in the forest and along the Caledonian Canal with plenty of wildlife and birds to spot.  Boats offer tours of Loch Ness several times daily in season.  Fishing for trout, salmon and pike is within a 5 minute walk with lots of places within easy reach.   A 9 hole golf course is a 5 minute drive away. Bicycles can be rented across the street.  For the more adventurous you will have easy access to a full range of highland activities from white water rafting to 4 x 4 driving..

You can drive to Inverness (32 miles north), Fort William (32 miles south) or over to the Isle of Skye (50 miles west) in an hour to an hour and a half.  The village is ideally suited to exploring the wonderful country either by foot or vehicle.
